The ‘Best in Glass’ Beer Quality results for 2025 show a fantastic improvement in the quality of beer served across our pubs. This year a total of 146 pubs received the gold award, 34 more than 2024. To receive a certificate for Beer Excellence, pubs must receive 90% or higher on their yearly unannounced cellar audit.
On top of the award winners, 61% of pubs have increased their scores in 2025, meaning only one thing – the consistency of excellent beer quality across our pubs is going up and up!
Don’t be fooled by only drinking with the winners though– the average from every single one of our pubs sits at 88%, meaning even those pubs who didn’t win the Excellence award this year are getting pretty close!
The incredible efforts of our Pub Partners, General Managers and Cellar Services Technicians who work alongside them is not unnoticed and this highlights the commitment to excellence across the board. These results reflect the hard work and dedication of our teams in delivering exceptional beer quality for our customers.
In 2025, Robinsons were delighted to be bucking the industry trend with 28% of all beer sales being Cask Beer. This is a hugely impressive number when overall cask sales have been declining in the UK.
