A friendly real ale pub in Preston
The pub is located in Preston city centre, on Friargate. This is a very popular shopping street close to the St. George shopping centre and the Harris museum. This iconic town centre pub - CAMRA winner for 2023 & 2024 - has a wealth of character and history and lots of original features.
The entire property is Grade II listed in part due to its history which dates to Victorian times. The pub is famous for having 3 entrance doors from 3 streets, it is the only pub in the country with this unique feature. The bar servery has an expressive tiled curvature, there are mosaic floors and a side corridor which leads to more seating and a staircase that leads to another room and bar. There are 2 real fires located in the 2 snugs either side of the bar. Offering at least 8 Robinsons cask beers, this real ale shrine offers a warm welcome with lots of delicious beer.
