About Us
Karen at The Dog and Partridge offers a warm welcome to all, serving food daily with a wide range of ales and lagers. Our family friendly pub has a garden with a play area for children and live entertainment at the weekend. Situated prominently on the A6 close to several local amenities including shops, colleges and Stepping Hill Hospital.

The pub is warm and friendly. We serve good pub food and have been awarded a 2025 Beer Excellence certificate for the quality of our beer. Let the kids enjoy our beer garden, with swings and a slide to keep them amused! We have a large car park to accommodate those wishing to drive too. Buses frequently pass the front door and this enables easy access from Stockport.

We've got a brand new outside area and you're going to be delighted. Watch the sun go down with a crisp pint of lager or supervise the kids whilst enjoying the outside air and a glass of dry white wine. Hidden away behind the A6, our beer garden is the place to be if your looking for some afternoon sunshine in a pub just outside of Stockport.

Stockport unplugged - Acoustic night every Thursday
We are excited to share that we are now hosting Stockport Unplugged every Thursday evening from 6:30pm - 9:30pm. Stockport Unplugged is a new showcase for musicians of all genres to perform before a live audience in a proper gig setting. A full PA is provided with an 8 channel mixing desk. Walks near the Dog & Partridge Great Moor
If you're near the Dog & Partridge in Great Moor and fancy a walk, there are plenty of great spots nearby. Bramhall Park has lovely trails and a bit of history, while Hazel Grove Golf Club offers some nice open green space. If you’re after more of a nature walk, Poynton Coppice and Happy Valley Nature Reserve are great for a wander through the woods and a chance to spot some wildlife.
