We are a traditional pub that lives up to it’s name. Excellent beer and a very warm welcome. We have a fantastic enclosed beer garden and a real log fire for those chillier days.

As well as a selection of cask and craft ales and a regular guest ale, we also have a fantastic range of spirits and an excellent wine list. We have live entertainment and show live sports frequently.

Relax in one of the best beer gardens in Glossop, it is a real suntrap space featuring two covered outdoor TVs and plenty of sheltered seating, making it ideal for enjoying a drink all year round (and to watch live sport!)

Celebrate with us – Function space in Glossop

We know a thing or two about throwing a great party at The Friendship. From birthdays and christenings to leaving parties and celebrations of life, our function room is the perfect space for your event. With capacity for up to 50 guests, the room is available free of hire and can be decorated for your occasion. Just let us know the details and we’ll get everything ready for you. You’re welcome to bring your own food, or we can arrange catering for you. We can also recommend excellent local food vendors in Glossop. To enquire, give us a call, pop into the pub send us an email to discuss dates and times. Date dependent you can also use the beer garden space for your function too.

Join us for a game of darts at The Friendship. Our darts board is free to use – just ask at the bar for the darts and enjoy!

Walks nearby – B-29 Wreckage walk – Bleaklow Head

Take a walk up one of the highest points in Peak District National Park and discover the historic B29 bomber crash site. Starting from Snake Pass, it’s an approximately 6 km round trip route – perfect for a rewarding half-day hike. After a couple of hours on the hill, unwind with us and enjoy a well-earned, refreshing pint (or two).
