About Us
The Red Lion is a firm favourite in Cheadle. Situated just outside the village, the dog-friendly pub has a carpark and a large beer garden called ‘The Bay’ which has plenty of picnic benches and parasols. The raised terrace area is used all year round for al fresco dining thanks to its canopy, large umbrella and heaters. You’ll even get a hot water bottle on those chilly nights! Inside, the Red Lion has been lovingly refurbished with a modern yet classic pub style. The snugs and fireplaces make it cosy and inviting whilst the open plan dining areas give light and space showcasing the new fully stocked back bar. Full table service is offered at all times.

The focus is great service and whether you are visiting for a few after work drinks, a family catch up, date night or a celebration, the team are ready to welcome you with big smiles and lots of personality. Food is also a huge passion with a seasonal menu, all cooked from scratch by chefs who are passionate and talented. Classics such as fish and chips, beef burger and salads always make the menu although the word is definitely out about the amazing ham hock scotch egg and feather blade of beef! Drinks are equally as important with pride being taken in serving quality real ales, crisp draught lagers, ever changing craft keg, premium wines and classic cocktails. Visit on a Sunday for incredible roasts of beef topside, slow roasted pork shoulder or braised lamb henry, served with roasties, giant yorkies, seasonal vegetables, sharing cauliflower cheese (that tastes cheesy!) and individual gravy per meat! The team have many years experience in volume operations and welcome all enquiries for part or private hire. Bespoke menus can be tailored to budget and taste. Sunday Roasts
Sundays…a time to be with friends, family and loved ones. We believe that there is nothing better than sitting round a table and feasting with your favourite people. So, we've put a lot of care, love, attention and culinary experience of course, into every element of our Sunday roasts. With a gravy for each dish, proper yorkies and the best (well we think so) cauliflower cheese around, we think our roasts are pretty special! Come and visit us some time…we’d love to see you!
