Lying less than 1 mile from the shores of Morecambe Bay and set amidst the idyllic scenery of North England’s Southern Lake District, Flookburgh is close to Grange Over Sands and is a perfect haven for holiday makers, many of whom visit the local campsites & caravan parks. Once a busy fishing village, Flookburgh retains much of its small-town charm and charisma, whilst offering much for today’s visitor. Flookburgh is a popular base for walking the Cumbria Way or mountain biking in Grizedale Forest and on quiet country lanes to Cartmel and Allithwaite. With the local racecourse, Cartmel Races, not too far away, Flookburgh is a good base for race goers, as well as walkers.

Overview

The Hope and Anchor is a traditional village pub situated in Flookburgh close to Grange Over Sands in Cumbria's South Lakes and within easy reach of the Lake District National Park. Known for its excellent ales and a lovely beer garden this pub also has 7 letting bedrooms and the opportunity to develop the food trade. Popular with locals and tourists alike.
