THE MILL INN, MUNGRISDALE, BENEFITS FROM STUNNING MAKEOVER

The Mill Inn, owned by Robinsons Brewery, has undergone an impressive refurbishment marking a new chapter in its history. The refurbishment focused on enhancing the internal space, whilst creating a fresh look for the external drinking area.

The project was primarily an internal renovation with a replacement of signage and the addition of greenery to the exterior, creating an inviting atmosphere.

A key objective of the refurbishment was to eliminate the sense of disjointedness within the internal trading space. This was achieved by removing internal walls and introducing new glazed screens, providing unobstructed views throughout the pub. The result is a cohesive and welcoming environment that has witnessed increased usage across all areas, garnering overwhelmingly positive feedback from the local community.

The trade kitchen has also been updated with new equipment, including new extraction systems.

The pub now boasts a fresh coat of paint brightening up the beams, and the infusion of rustic and eclectic elements throughout. The re-design also incorporates a visual journey into the history of the pub, the surrounding area, and local maps. The Mill Inn has embraced a significant amount of bric-a-brac, paying homage to its heritage.

The exterior has received a facelift with updated signage, contributing to the overall refreshed look of The Mill Inn. The decision to replace traditional imagery with historical elements reflects the commitment to preserving the pub's rich history while embracing a contemporary aesthetic.

The Mill Inn, situated in Mungrisdale just below the iconic Blencathra, one of the largest fells in the North Lakes, is conveniently located not far from the motorway.
