Over the few years, Eddie, our Pub Partner at the Flying Coach in Hazel Grove, has taken the pub from strength to strength, making it truly his own. With the pub’s growing popularity, it became clear that extra space was needed to accommodate more guests and activities.

The building to the right of the Flying Coach - if you’re coming from the A6 - was formerly a security shop but remained under the brewery’s ownership. With planning permission, we were able to create additional trading space for the pub. The expansion project began in June and was completed by August, taking just six weeks. The new space now provides room for 20- 25 covers and features a pinball machine, artwork, a TV, and has already hosted several functions. Remarkably, the pub stayed open throughout the renovation, with temporary screens installed while structural work was underway.

The décor of the new area has been designed to match the rest of the pub, with our Design team carefully aligning the colour scheme, installing fixed seating, and ensuring the windows complement the overall look. Eddie was also able to add his own touches, ensuring the space reflects his vision.

The Flying Coach is a true community hub - Eddie often hosts local events, and the new space has already become an important part of that. This project is a reminder that even a modest expansion can have a meaningful impact, benefiting both the Pub Partner and its community!

Keep an eye out for more exciting additions coming to the Flying Coach soon!
