We are delighted that yet another of our fantastic pubs has reached the finals at the upcoming Marketing Cheshire Tourism Awards 2026. Organised by Marketing Cheshire, the annual awards recognise the very best in Cheshire’s vibrant £3.9 billion visitor economy. With 18 categories highlighting the very best of Cheshire hospitality, tourism, and visitor experience, competition is always strong – making this nomination a real honour for the team at the Davenport Arms.

Affectionately known as “The Thief’s Neck,” the Davenport Arms has long been a favourite amongst its visitors. Its place as one of just four pubs shortlisted across Cheshire is a testament to the hard work, passion, and community spirit that define this much-loved village local.

From locally sourced food and drink to its warm, welcoming atmosphere, the pub continues to be a cornerstone of Woodford life. Recent additions such as a new event space now hosting weddings, birthdays, and celebrations, as well as an expansive beer garden overlooking Robinsons’ very own Shire horses, have only added to its unique offering.
