After five weeks of partial closure, the Swan with Two Necks has finally reopened after a previously unused first-floor space was converted and refitted into a new unisex WC facility and an extension of the pub’s trading area.

What was once just a storeroom is now somewhere customers can enjoy and relax in. To tie in with the downstairs interior of the pub, new wooden panelling has been added to the walls, along with a cornice, picture rail and a rich heritage colour scheme - giving the room the traditional pub feel that the building really needed as a listed property.

The space has been finished with antique brass fittings, while ribbed glass lighting helps enhance the warm colour palette. Velvet curtains frame the bay window, and the room is filled with classic pub furniture, carpeted floors and a reclaimed feature fireplace, which creates a focal point and adds to the cosy feel.

The Design team did a fantastic job of making the space feel as though it has always looked this way, keeping that traditional old-worlde pub character while delivering a polished finish. A nod to Stockport has been included through local history photographs and artwork from local artist Kate O'Brien.

The toilets have also had a traditional makeover, with timeless tiles used throughout to tie in with the rest of the refurbishment and create a consistent look across the space.
