Robinsons are delighted to unveil the transformation of the Ring O’Bells in Marple. The newly refurbished site leans into the pub’s natural architecture blending tradition and comfort that celebrates the pub’s rich heritage while giving it a fresh new lease of life.
Inside the pub, the space has been opened up by removing internal walls and structures, creating a more welcoming and sociable layout. The original stained-glass windows have been carefully retained and restored, now serving as the centrepiece of the interior. Their vibrant colours are complemented by reclaimed furniture and materials, ensuring every detail feels authentic and true to the building’s history.
The vision was to bring back the feel of a traditional pub; ambient and moody. Glass from the old internal screens has been retained and repurposed, and behind the bar, newly exposed arched windows are now mirrored by the bar’s own architectural curves, creating a striking design feature.
Throughout, the traditional pub feel has been restored using reclaimed furniture and repurposed materials add warmth and character. Existing artwork has been reframed to showcase local scenes and elements of Robinsons’ brewing heritage. A new log burner and a feature fire place now brings cosy focal points to unappreciated spaces.
Practical updates include a new accessible toilet, an expanded kitchen, and a redesigned bar area with a few high tables and bar stools to encourage a more vibrant, social atmosphere. Stone and timber flooring throughout provides a durable, welcoming surface – perfect for walkers dropping in after a countryside stroll.
Outside, the pub has been fully redecorated. The original hanging sign remains proudly in place, complemented by new outdoor furniture and a refreshed façade. With a large car park and a much more inviting exterior, the pub is ready to welcome guests old and new.
So, whether you are in the local area, or are planning a visit to Marple, make sure to pop in and see the transformation for yourself! Visit the Ring O'Bells website here.
