The Craven Heifer in Kelbrook has re-opened its doors following an incredible transformation. The Lancashire pub, acquired by Robinsons in late 2023 was ready to be given a new lease of life. Dating back to the 1800’s, the pub has been reinvented to bring back some of the heritage of a traditional pub whilst taking the pub forward with modern influences. You can see the blend of eras through the use of classic prints and patterns schemes with modern furniture styles and well thought out print contrasts.
The pub has been redesigned to invite people wanting to visit the pub for a drink with a welcoming bar area. It’s been designed to be as warm and welcoming for those stopping by for a post work pint as those wishing to celebrate something special with friends and family.
To make this possible, there has been lots of change structurally and it’s not been an easy ride! We’ve removed walls to open out the space and make the pub more integrated whilst adding glass features and screens to retain intricacy and warmth. Where previously rooms added an element of separation or disconnect from the pub, the new open layout brings everything together and creates a more vibrant atmosphere.
The aim of the investment was to bring back the sense of community to the already popular pub and restaurant. Reintroducing ‘pubby’ elements such as a visual bar throughout, fixed bar seating and a designated space for relaxing with a drink with the intention of making the Craven Heifer a go-to place for drinks in the village.
