Meet Chloe Wright, Assistant Manager at Queens Head, Troutbeck
Chloe has been with Robinsons for nearly six years. She started as front of house, worked her way up to Assistant Manager, and has stepped up to run the pub when needed, taking it all in her stride.
What does a “good day” at work look like?
“We’re very lucky to have lots of regulars, our customers feel like family, and seeing that connection makes every day great.”
What is the best thing about being a woman working in pubs?
“Women bring an extra level of empathy to the role, whether it’s customers or staff facing challenges, the way women communicate helps people feel heard and supported.”
Who has supported or inspired you most?
“Sam, the past General Manager at Queens Head Troutbeck inspired me. She’s strong, supportive, and encouraged me to take on more. Her guidance made a huge difference early in my career.”
What challenges have you faced?
“Sometimes customers or older staff underestimate you because of your age or gender. You need to assert yourself respectfully and show that you’re capable, no matter what anyone thinks.”
Cheers to Chloe for completing her apprenticeship and growing into her role with confidence. Here’s to women backing themselves and encouraging others to do the same.
