The Red Dragon in Kirkby Lonsdale is re-opening following a £70,000 refurbishment and the arrival of two new landlords.
The Robinsons pub, which is on Main Street, will now be run by experienced landlady Sonja Cook and qualified Chef Keith Adams. The couple hope to use their skills and experience to turn the pub into a thriving real ale and quality food venue.
Commenting on the new business opportunity, Sonja said: “We’re really excited to put our own stamp on the Red Dragon, with an excellent range of ales available and a delicious menu of traditional homemade pub food. We hope previous customers will return, and new customers come and see what we have to offer.”
The pub has been completely revamped, inside and out, featuring a new back bar and bar top, rustic furniture, vintage colours throughout and new signage to give the pub a quaint quirky feel, in keeping with the character of the town.
Steve Robinson, Business Development Manager at Robinsons, said: “The pub was looking a little tired and was in need of a bit of TLC. Now it is looking back at its best we’re excited to welcome customers back to the pub to enjoy the new surroundings and sample the fantastic beer and food available."
"Sonja and Keith are fantastic publicans who we believe have the skills and experience to make the Red Dragon a great food and drink venue.”
