The Walney Island local, which closed three weeks ago, is being transformed by the Stockport brewer to create a large open area and update the pub’s features.
The new design will play off the natural beauty of the surrounding area with a design that features a light and natural palette with nautical imagery.
“We’re really excited for this re-imaging of the pub” said Marie Elliott. “The new design will not only create a larger space for all our regulars but will also allow us to begin to serve food seven days a week! It really is an exciting time!”
Pub favourites such as the sizzling stir-frys and mouth-watering Dizzy Blonde battered cod and chips will be returning with several brand new twists on British seaside classics that are guaranteed to have customers licking their lips.
“The pub was ready for a modernisation and certainly needed more room to cope with the demand!” said Steve Robinson, Business Development Manager. “Having seen the plans I am confident that The Crown will become the perfect meeting place on Walney Island. I can’t wait to see the finished result!”
