This is a unique opportunity for an experienced operator. The Vaynol Arms has been described as a pub that is well worth the hike! It is a traditional, Welsh long house pub situated in the Llanberis Pass at the base of Mount Snowdon. Quirky is an understatement when it comes to this pub. Outdoor pursuit equipment from throughout the ages adorn the walls of this hidden gem. A famous watering hole for serious climbers and walkers. On a historical note, the pub was originally a farmhouse called Tŷ’n Llan, a name still used by locals today. Tŷ’n Llan means “house in the Llan”, with Llan meaning walled enclosure of a church. When looking at the pub, you will notice that the Churchyard of St Peris’ church is immediately adjacent to the pub’s car park. The pub is also situated next to the Llanberis Mountain Rescue centre.
A Little more about us
Nant Peris sits between Llanberis and Capel Curig on the A4086 in Gwynedd, North Wales. You could not be closer to the mountains than when you are in the village of Nant Peris. Sheltering in the foothills of Mount Snowdon, it is a mere 3km from the Snowdon Mountain Railway (easiest route to the top – sitting on the train), or take the Pyg Track from Pen y Pass just 5.5km down the A4086 road (suitable for more experienced mountain walkers – catch the Sherpa Bus to the start of the walk at the Pen y Pass car park). There is a fantastic camp site with showers and mountain views right opposite the pub. The town of Llanberis itself is just a short drive (3km) in the opposite direction alongside Llyn Peris and passing the remains of the famous Dolbadarn Castle on the way. Another lake to be discovered is the beautiful Llyn Gwynant, on the eastern side of Snowdon and 12.9km south east of Nant Peris along the A498.

Similarly Historic performance, whilst a significant factor to consider, is not a guarantee of future performance of a pub and you should bear this in mind in your assessment of trading potential.
