The Plough is a large Grade 2 listed Victorian pub with a traditional atmosphere, and a fantastic array of kegged, cask, spirits and soft drinks. The pub was only recently refurbished, having kept the traditional feel, and enhanced the original historical features including ornamental carving, mirrors, plasterwork, and tiling. The pub has one long main bar serving four separate trading areas and an enclosed rear patio area and garden. There is a pool and darts room to the back of the pub, which houses pub teams twice weekly. The other two rooms have old wide bench seating as well as chairs and open fires, making these areas a favourite with the regulars. The pub shows live sport on both Sky and BT, racing in the day, and the footie at night. There is also live entertainment monthly. To the rear of the pub, there is a large, enclosed garden with benches for around 50 people. Robinsons are seeking a new licensee who will be able in integrate themselves into the community of Gorton, as well as push the gift that the Plough has to offer.
