Overview
*REFURBISHMENT PLANNED*
The Globe presents an opportunity to transform a traditional pub into a modern café bar with an independent vibe. Situated close to the train station and near the market square in the small Cumbrian town of Ulverston. We’re looking for the right business partner to see beyond the current character of the building and get excited about ambitious refurbishment plans. The Globe is currently Dickensian in style, with low ceilings, panelled walls, stone floors and wooden beams, all aspects we’ll likely keep to invite the intimate and warm feeling of an all day café bar. As well as the cosy inside space, the venue has a large walled garden to the rear, offering the potential to more than double capacity in those warmer months. It’s one of the town’s bigger outdoor venues, sat back behind the road, it’s a real hidden gem.
Robinsons are seeking to work with a new business partner who is looking to challenge themselves beyond the traditional, as we reinvent the venue through both the décor and customer offer of the Globe. Transforming the Globe from a traditional wet led pub offer to a destination café – come cocktail bar with the right small food offering. We’re looking for somebody with an appetite for doing things differently in the town and stepping into a market the town is missing. Do you have the vision to move this business forward? We are looking for a new licensee with the drive and enthusiasm to move the Globe to the destination venue that it should be.
