The Rock Tavern is a classic community pub, tucked away in a quiet residential corner of New Mills. Something of a hidden gem, the Rock is a thriving community pub serving quality Robinsons Cask Ales. The pub perches high above the Torrs Riverside park and the spectacular Millennium Walkway, lending itself to be the ideal watering hole for thirsty walkers and locals alike. The Rock is also a convenient place to have that pre or post theatre drink, with the New Mills Art Theatre situated at the end of the road.
Pool, Darts and Dominoes are also played on a regular basis in the Rock, with teams on both a Monday and Tuesday evening! The pub boasts a suntrap of a beer garden with a newly constructed canopy, that can be opened or closed when the weather is a little wet! The pub also has its own carpark with at least 10 parking spaces available. The bar is situated to the left of the pub and dispenses to all areas of the pub, which is largely open plan, but retains the distinct areas of lounge area and games room, creating a traditional multi-room feel! The décor of the pub has been kept to a high standard throughout. There is a small kitchen area, which is currently not in use, to the rear of the pub, this could be utilised to do a small food offering! Robinsons are looking for a licensee who has enthusiasm to get involved in the local community and ensure that the Rock remains as the centre of activity for the locals.
