Overview

The Dog and Partridge is a traditional coaching inn dating back to the 1700’s. It is traditional in style, being built out of local Cheshire stone. The internals of the pub have been kept largely in its original condition, offering small rooms and open fires, that present a warm and inviting atmosphere. One of the snug rooms currently houses a pool table, which is in popular use by locals and tourists alike. There is one small bar that services the pub, with a good ranges of Robinsons cask and kegged ales. To the rear of the pub, there is a small courtyard with seats for around 30 people. A bonus outside, is the feature of the local (ancient) jail! Above the pub, there is a function room, which when in use can hold around 50 people comfortably. Robinsons are looking for a new licensee to push the full offering here at the Dog and Partridge. The new licensee will want to engage with the local community and get involved with events and functions that happen within the village.

The small town of Bollington is located about three miles north of Macclesfield and 18 miles south east of Manchester and east of Prestbury It nestles in the western most foothills of the Pennine range of hills, just above the Cheshire Plain. Bollington is a pretty village with the bulk of the properties made of natural stone. The pub is in the old part of Bollington and surrounded by terraced housing and near to small industrial units. This is a thriving village with attractive amenities.
