The Ship Inn is situated on the hill overlooking the village of Coniston, in the heart of the English Lake District.
It is only a short distance from the famous lake where Donald Campbell attempted to break the water speed record with his jet boat Bluebird. Tarn Hows, one of the most beautiful places in the Lake District is only a few miles away. Coniston is the ideal base for exploring the tremendous landscape of streams, pathways and mountains, including Coniston Old Man.
The Ship Inn is also on the path of the Cumbrian Way and we welcome all walkers. This is the perfect setting where we offer warm, comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation at reasonable rates, in both summer and winter months.
