The beautiful and historic village of Henbury is located in the countryside in affluent East Cheshire, about two miles west of Macclesfield, and in easy reach of other local towns and villages, such as Alderley Edge and Prestbury which are just ten minutes away, Wilmslow fifteen minutes away and Knutsford twenty minutes away. The main part of the village comprises of about 250 homes (c. 600 residents).

Overview

The Cock is a traditional semi rural pub situated in the affluent village of Henbury on the busy Chelford Road, just on the outskirts of Macclesfield. The pub has vast potential and offers a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere to locals and passers-by alike. Well known locally for its home cooked food, served both lunchtimes and evenings. There are also car parks on either side of the road from the pub. Behind the pub is a pretty patio area with a children’s play area and a boules pitch. Robinsons are looking for an experienced community food operator who can retain the popularity of this pub, integrate well into the community and build upon the food offering.
