Overview

General Burgoyne is a very famous and historical pub built around 1631, with a unique name overlooking the Tarn. This pub is located in the picturesque village of Great Urswick, only a mile and a half from the main A590 and has acquired a fantastic reputation for good quality pub food. People travel from all around Barrow in Furness and the surrounding areas to dine at the General Burgoyne. There is a single bar serving a lounge area and conservatory restaurant. On the first floor is the Tarn View Suite, a cosy function room accommodating 30 guests with private bar and toilet facilities. Suitable applicants must be highly experienced in catering, preferably trained as a chef and be able to maintain the current food offer. Robinsons are seeking an experienced operator, ideally with letting room and food experience, who can continue to offer a warm welcome and high standards in this multi-faceted business.
