Pub location on map

One of only two Robinsons pubs in Shropshire, the Burlton has been tastefully refurbished in 2014 with many beautiful features. This delightful pub dates back to the 18th Century and was previously known as 'Cross Key's', and is situated in the quaint Shropshire village of Burlton, between Shrewsbury & Ellesmere. The Burlton Inn has traditional features with a modern twist. This charming pub has wooden beams, a warming snug with fireplace and charming dining area, as well as an attractive terrace and beer garden with stunning views of the Shropshire countryside. The pub benefits from six well appointed en-suite rooms which are separate from the pub, making the Burlton Inn a great base to explore the beautiful local countryside.

Trading Accommodation

The pub benefits from a single bar, a fully equipped catering kitchen, 45 cover restaurant, snug bar area with log fire and an outside landscaped garden. The light coloured pub furniture gives the place a fresh feel, and creates an atmosphere of cosy intimacy. There are a number of odd corners and bolt-holes where you can hide away if need be - one of them called "Mrs Pugh's Parlour" after a previous long-serving landlady (Mrs Pough ran the pub for many years as well as bringing up her 17 children!) This also doubles as a small meeting room - but with no doors. During the warmer months you can eat and drink on the patio overlooking our attractive beer garden. There are also 6 well-appointed en-suite letting rooms in a separate lodge located on the far side of the car park.
