Welcome to the Railway, we can’t wait to welcome you! We are a family friendly, dog friendly pub in Marple. We serve 3 or 4 cask ales from our award-winning cellar, complimented by a fantastic selection of wine and spirits. We also offer a large lunch menu with home cooked food, at a great affordable price.
We host regular activities, alongside live sport and music, making us the perfect place to relax, enjoy great food, and have a drink. Conveniently located near Marple Centre and the Middlewood Way, we’re ideally placed for visitors from Macclesfield and Bollington too. With a large free car park, spacious beer garden, and terrace area, we offer plenty of room to unwind. We’re also a great spot for train enthusiasts to watch the action go by. We show all the big live events with Sky and BT Sport, so you won’t miss a moment – whether it’s boxing, football, rugby, or more.

Join us on 25th October for our Sunday Poker Night, kicking off from 7pm. Entry is just £10, with cash prizes to be won throughout the evening.

Join us on Saturday 31st October from 7:30pm for our Halloween & Birthday Party! Put on your spookiest costume and get ready for a fantastic evening of great music, delicious drinks, and even better company. Whether you’re celebrating with us or simply joining in the Halloween fun, it’s set to be a night not to be missed!
christmas wreath making workshop
Join us on Wednesday 9th December for our Christmas Wreath Workshop, starting at 7pm. Create your own beautiful festive wreath with guidance from the experts, all for £55 per person. Join us on the 2nd December for our festive Sip & Pint evening. Get into the Christmas mood and paint two Christmas baubles or create your own bauble pre outlined canvas. Our festive Kids and Teens Sip & Paint is taking place on the 4th December from 6-8pm. Kids can paint their own festive pre-outlined canvas or ceramic paint with a drink and sandwich included in the price. All children must be accompanied by an adult. It is £25pp . Ring in 2027 with us at The Railway! Join us for our Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party from 5pm to 7pm, featuring free entry, food, drinks, and plenty of fun and games. To book a place, please call 07538 863830. Then, from 8pm, the celebrations continue with our Adults’ New Year’s Eve Party. With free entry and no booking required, it’s the perfect way to welcome the New Year with friends and family. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
DragonFest – 10th October
Join us on Saturday 10th October from 4pm onwards for DragonFest. There will be four great original bands all giving their time in aid of Oliver’s Dragons children’s charity. Tickets will be £7 on the door (advance tickets will be priced at £5 – link will be provided soon). Featuring; The DN5 – Blues rock, Dave Aston – acoustic folk punk, Holiday Weather – Indie rock, DEAD HIGHWAYMEN – Punk rock – Plus a DJ set from DJ Liquidator to finish the night. Get down, have a great time, maybe find your new favourite band and help a great cause in the process. See you there!
