The White Lion is a cosy English pub nestled in the stunning village of Great Longstone, just a short distance from Bakewell and the beautiful Monsal Trail. The White Lion is a beautiful 17th century coaching inn which is situated in the picture postcard village of Great Longstone, in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales. Behind the well-maintained exterior lies plenty of cosy, country character of wooden beams and open bare brick fireplaces.

After a scenic day exploring the trail’s tunnels, viaducts, and beautiful countryside, our cosy pub is the ideal place to unwind, enjoy a pint, and refuel with delicious food.

If you’re nearby, be sure to check out the Heights of Abraham. Hop on the scenic cable car for breathtaking views across the valleys and 60 acres of estate. Once at the top, you can discover the Great Masson Cavern and enjoy a range of attractions.

Surrounding the hall lies the park – 187 hectares of stunning parkland, ancient woodland, and tranquil water meadows along the River Wye.
