This beautiful 17th century coaching inn is situated in the picture postcard village of Ashford in the Water in the heart of the Peak District.

Here at the Bulls Head we serve great pub food and drinks. We have a great menu with lots of classic dishes for you to choose from. Beer garden in the peak district

Come and soak up the sun in our beer garden at the back of the pub, we have plenty of seating space with a covered gazebo, field space for the kids to run around with a park being within a 2 minute walk out of the beer garden. We can also host functions for up to 100 people in our field space behind, whether its a wedding, birthday or christening, get in touch and we can discuss options.

We’re located just minutes from Thornbridge Estate, a fantastic spot for a family day out. There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained – from exploring nature trails and visiting the smallholding to wandering through the beautiful gardens. Thornbridge Estate offers something for everyone! And since we’re less than a 12-minute drive away, why not stop by afterwards for a delicious meal or a refreshing pint?

Chatsworth House

We’re also just a short distance from Chatsworth House, where you can enjoy everything from scenic estate walks and uncovering the rich history of Chatsworth and the Devonshires, to exploring the house and meeting the farmyard animals. There’s plenty to keep you entertained for a full day out!

Heights of Abraham

If you’re in the area, don’t miss a visit to the Heights of Abraham. Take a scenic cable car ride that offers spectacular views over the stunning valleys and 60 acres of beautiful estate. Once there, you can explore the fascinating underground time tunnel of the Great Masson Cavern, there is plenty on offer.

Haddon Hall

Enjoy a medieval day out at Haddon Hall, where you can go on guided tours and step back in time. Surrounding the hall is the Park – an impressive 187 hectares of parkland, woodland, and water meadows stretching along the River Wye.
