The Red Lion has definitely regained its title of a Robinsons Flag ship following the extensive refurbishment and structural alterations to the premises. It is now in the capable hands of a strong management team experienced in running top class pubs and eateries in Manchester, where quality of food and service of a prerequisite for the discerning customer.
The Red Lion Specialises in vintage British food which is accompanied by an excellent wine list. For the avid beer drinker, a choice of four Robinsons cask ales are available which it should be said are kept in the best of condition If premium continental lagers are your preference then they are also available.
For those hot summer days we all like to think about, there is a pleasant partially covered outdoor drinking and dining area. If arriving by car, a large car park is available. The pub is situated on the A6 which makes the pub an ideal stop off for those visiting the Peak District National Park or the nearby Lyme Hall and country park National Trust property where, the famous BBC production of Pride and Prejudice was filmed.
Who can forget Colin Firth coming out of the lake? Well yes you may well have done but what is for sure, is that you will not forget your visit to the Red Lion where you will enjoy food, drink, and service in the most exquisite surroundings.
