The Mulberry pub on Conwy Marina is getting ready to serve up a weekend of music at the inaugural ‘On the Rocks’ music festival.
‘On The Rocks’ is a new festival launched by Robinsons and the Mulberry pub with hundreds of music lovers expected to turn up over the course of the three day festival.
The Friday of the festival will be headlined by The Jive Swings; a North of England octet playing a collection of swing and jive hits in timeless crooner style whilst putting a classic twist on modern favourites.
Saturday will see the mighty Viva La Coldplay, the UK’s number 1 tribute act, return to the Mulberry after a year long absence. The band, who have always been a popular act with the pub’s regulars, will be performing a collection of hits spanning across the multi-Grammy award-winning bands’ back catalogue.
North Wales’ own Connah Evans will round out the proceedings on Sunday. The multi-talented singer-songwriter, named BBC Radio Wales’ Artist of the Week in 2014, released his debut E.P “LABELS” in February and will be bringing his unique blend of indie pop with upbeat melodies to close out the festival.
Connah Evans said: “I'm really looking forward to headlining the first ‘On The Rocks’ festival. I love to play live and I am excited to debut a new song that's a perfect summer tune. Playing local gigs means a lot to me and the chance to support new Welsh events is a great opportunity! I am looking forward to a great night.”
Along with live music, the Mulberry will be serving a range of Robinsons’ award-winning beers along with world lagers and ciders. Food will be available throughout the day with vendors serving pulled pork, seafood, hog roast, paella and much more.
The Mulberry pub is located at Conwy Marina, Ellis Way, Conwy LL32 8GU. Tickets are free and available from the Mulberry, to get yours please call the pub on 01492 583350.
