Having learned through the Key 103 campaign that one in three Manchester children will go without a present on Christmas morning because they are currently living in severe poverty, Robinsons Brewery has combined with Manchester FA and three other member leagues in order to raise funds for this worthy cause.
As the official adult partner, Robinsons will donate a £1 for every goal scored in the adult game and both the Manchester League and Greater Manchester Women's League will match the money raised in their capacity as MCFA's adult partners.
Similarly, for every goal scored in the under nine, ten, eleven age groups of the Gold Respect Reward-winning East Manchester Junior League on Saturday, MCFA will donate £1. The EMJFL has also agreed to match any donation.
All donations will be made to the Mission Christmas campaign and spent on gifts for those children who would otherwise go without this Christmas.
Please note that all clubs, leagues, referees and volunteers are welcome to donate to the Mission Christmas campaign either directly to Key 103 or by contacting Manchester FA on 0161 203 2990.
