The Ship, is situated on the edge of Coniston village, in the heart of the English Lake District. Sitting on the path of the Cumbrian Way, the Ship is the perfect place to refresh before your walk or refuel with a pint and great bit of home-cooked food at the end. We are a traditional family friendly pub in Coniston with something for everyone.

A little more about us

It is only a short distance from the famous lake where Donald Campbell attempted to break the water speed record with his jet boat Bluebird. Tarn Hows, one of the most beautiful places in the Lake District is only a few miles away. Coniston is the ideal base for exploring the tremendous landscape of streams, pathways and mountains, including Old Man at Coniston. We're the closest pub to Coniston Hall Campsite.
