OLDHAM'S FAVOURITE CARIBBEAN ARRIVES IN AUDENSHAW

The Snipe in Audenshaw have announced an exciting new partnership with Oldham’s well-loved Caribbean food delivery service, The Caribbean Kitchen.

Robinsons Business Partner, Kate Mudriczki, had been looking for a way to continue to grow the business she's worked hard at creating over the last two years by bringing to life the unused kitchen space in the pub. Kate had explored the opportunity to bring in an external food trader to utilise the space as a dark kitchen, to both make use of the unused space and offer something more for the community. After finding a partner who she felt was a good fit for her own business, the ideas grew beyond being a dark kitchen and into retailing food within the pub too!

Starting in the pandemic, ex Harvey Nichols chef Patrick Smith set up a dark kitchen from his home, creating and selling mouth-watering Caribbean food. The home-cooked project has seen him gather over 3000 Facebook followers since he started but with recent changes to delivery service provider, The Caribbean Kitchen has been in the market for a new home.

Kate Mudriczki, business owner at The Snipe pub in Audenshaw saw this as an opportunity too good to miss. The Snipe had been looking at finding a great food partner to begin to offer food to the pub’s clientele. Since taking over the pub as a business partner with Robinsons Brewery, Kate has been working extremely hard to establish The Snipe as a welcoming and friendly community pub offering activities for all the family and local communities throughout the year and said offering food was the last part of this puzzle.

Kate said “The Snipe is now a community family friendly pub and over the last two years we’ve been working hard to achieve this. We’ve been working really hard to make it a community hub for everyone and food has been missing. We’re really excited that we’re going to be in partnership with the Caribbean Kitchen. I feel we’re both in the same stage of our businesses and working together with Patrick, I believe we’ll be able to help each other grow to the next level. We’ve tried and tested the food ourselves and it’s delicious, its ethical and its homemade. Most of all, we believe are customers are going to love it, with something for everyone!”

The Caribbean Kitchen menu will be available to order online and over the telephone and can be delivered, collected or enjoyed in the pub. This new location for the Caribbean Kitchen allows people to sit down and dine out for the first time, having previously been a delivery service only.

Kate added “We hope that by extending our pub’s opening hours people will visit the pub to enjoy some really great fresh home-cooked food. For the existing regulars of Patrick’s the opportunity to travel to the pub to enjoy his food means they can still get their Caribbean fix! But, of course, for those who do enjoy dining in their own homes, the delivery service should reach them too!”
